Mind-Body Connection

Our bodies have the ability to heal! All of the tools we need for healing are already within us; we just need to learn how to access the tools. The body has a story to tell that is separate from that of the mind. Through tapping into the messages that sensation and emotions hold, we gain clarity on the root of pain and suffering. The way that we choose to think about healing plays a big role in our ability to heal. We can choose to use the power of our minds to support physical and emotional healing by connecting to hopeful, positive thought patterns. By releasing the fearful, limiting thought patterns, we transform limitation into possibility.   Read More About Healing Modalities…   This picture was taken by my dear friend, Eva Capozzola of Eva Simone...

Namaste in Nature

The gesture Namaste translates to, “the light in me bows to the light in you.” The hand position is called anjali mudra. Anjali comes from the Sanskrit root anj, meaning “to honor or celebrate.” Mudra means “seal.” By bringing our hands together at the center of the heart, we are uniting the right and left sides of our bodies and balancing and harmonizing our energies. This keeps us clear, centered, and positive. One of the greatest blessings of yoga is that it connects you to the light within yourself. When you are connected to your own light, you are connected to the light in all things and all beings.   Read More About Yoga…   This picture was taken by my dear friend, Eva Capozzola of Eva Simone...

Creative Expression

Creative Expression

The chakras are the seven major energy centers that regulate the flow of subtle energy in our bodies. The 5th chakra (Visuddha), located at the throat, is the center for creative expression. We all have gifts that we tend to hold back at times. We question if we are enough and wonder if our gifts will be received well. When we hold our gifts back and refrain for expressing ourselves, we create an imbalance in the visuddha chakra. Yoga gives us the gift of listening, openness, and clarity. We begin to listen to the subtle messages of the body and create more space in body and mind for our gifts to come through. The practice of yoga turns up your dimmer switch so that you can be bright and shining!   Read More About Yoga…   This picture was taken by my dear friend, Eva Capozzola of Eva Simone...
